On Saturday, March 17, 2018, the Connecticut Daylily Society welcomes Stuart Kendig, owner of Perfect Perennials in York, PA. Stuart will present his “Whites, Stripes, and Garden Sights” program. A breeder of outstanding daylilies, Stuart has most recently focused on creating those elusive whiter whites. Additionally, in his twenty years of hybridizing he’s introduced a line of red-edged and eyed daylilies that are absolutely to die for! Spring is just around the corner, and CDS is warming up with some virtual flower power you won’t want to miss!
Social hour with delicious potluck lunch begins at noon followed by Stuart’s presentation at 1pm. As always, there will be fabulous daylily door prizes, and donations to our food table are greatly appreciated. Attendance is free of charge and open to the public, so why not invite your gardening friends to join you for a fun and flower-filled afternoon?
The Avon Senior Center is located at 635 West Avon Road in Avon, CT at the junction of Sycamore and Scoville Roads (at the Sycamore Hills Recreation Center).
