It’s that time again! The Connecticut Daylily Society will host our annual daylily and perennial sale on Saturday, May 13, 2017, rain or shine at the Avon Senior Center.
That’s right: the Weather Channel is forecasting May showers, but we’ll still be there selling flowers! Grab your umbrella and your checkbook, because we won’t let a little water ruin our day!
Prices start dirt cheap at just $5 for a double fan (two plant) division!
Browse daylilies —large, miniature, single, double, eyed, spidery, ruffled, classic, and cutting-edge cultivars in every color imaginable— freshly dug from member gardens. These aren’t your grandmother’s daylilies! Our plants laugh at CT winters and thrive in CT soil, so you can be sure they’ll be hardy in your garden. Additionally, various member-grown perennials will be available for purchase: hosta, heuchera, iris, geraniums, pulmonaria, and more. Come early for the best selection.
Bonus daylilies are given with every purchase—the more you buy, the more free plants you receive!
Meet fellow garden enthusiasts, have your plant questions answered by our seasoned green thumbs, and add some foolproof color to your landscape.
Sale runs from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The Avon Senior Center is located at the Sycamore Hills Recreation Center, 635 West Avon Road (Rt. 167) at the junction of Sycamore and Scoville Roads, conveniently situated between Farmington Avenue (Rt. 4) and Rt. 44. Cash and personal checks accepted.
Sale proceeds go to fund CDS educational programs, which are free and open to the public.
Come discover why the daylily is America’s favorite “no maintenance” flowering perennial!

Sending my love and best wishes to all my friends at CDS! I miss you all! Have a great sale, have fun, and may the Rain Gods look kindly on you and stay away from Avon until the sale is done and the tents are packed away. – Tina Cotter
