Does your flower garden fizzle come August and September? Do you wish you could extend the growing season and add more color to late summer beds? Join the Connecticut Daylily Society on Saturday, March 19th when guest speaker Melodye Campbell presents her inspiring program on late blooming daylilies!

Melodye has grown daylilies since the 1980s. Her small suburban garden is home to about six hundred different cultivars, many of which were hybridized here in the Northeast. One of the founding members of the Finger Lakes Daylily Society of Western New York, Melodye has served Region 4 and the American Hemerocallis Society in multiple capacities. She is a former president of the Finger Lakes Daylily Society and has officiated as Popularity Poll Special Chair for AHS. Currently, she represents our region on the AHS Board of Directors and chairs the Awards & Honors Committee. We are privileged to have Melodye share her wealth of daylily knowledge with us!

Our Social Hour will begin at noon, followed by a brief business meeting at 1 pm, and Melodye’s presentation directly thereafter.
The Connecticut Daylily Society invites all interested gardeners to attend this event which is free of charge and open to the public. Come enjoy fabulous photos, food, fellowship, and fun! Door prizes are awarded at every meeting!
