On Saturday, January 16, 2016, the Connecticut Daylily Society will celebrate its 25th anniversary. Join us as we observe the occasion with a feast followed by a double feature!

As always, there will be plenty of food at our yearly “Soup’s On” meeting. Pot luck soups, chili, and sides will tempt your palate. Of course, it wouldn’t be an anniversary party without cake! Social hour with refreshments begins at noon at the Avon Senior Center, followed by a brief business meeting at one, and then our photographs will make your green thumb itch.
First, Tina Cotter’s wonderful slideshow presentations will highlight CDS members and club events over the last quarter-century. Take a walk down memory lane, toasting past and present friends, club accomplishments, and notable meetings throughout the years.
Next up is the “Member Favorites” presentation, a montage of member photos to drool over. Close up blooms, sumptuous clumps, and sweeping vistas await your viewing pleasure. Come with pen and paper to add to your spring wish list!

Additionally, we will have a group photo taken of all attendees in preparation for our 30th Anniversary Celebration five years from now. Dress as you wish to be remembered!
We award door prizes at every meeting, so stop by for your chance to win. Meetings are always free and open to the public. With flowers, friends, food, and fun, the Connecticut Daylily Society welcomes everyone!
The Avon Senior Center is located at the Sycamore Hills Recreation Center, 635 West Avon Road (Rt. 167) at the junction of Sycamore and Scoville Roads.
