Early blooming daylilies

Extra Early Daylilies

Most of the very earliest daylilies, those that bloom in mid-May, are close to the various species and are yellow on color. However, it is nice to have a bit of daylily color amidst the daffodils and tulips. Then there are those that bloom ahead of peak bloom in mid to late June. Then you get more colors and even some eyes!!

The very earliest:

Orangeman (Yeld 1902) — mid-May gold with brown underpetals

Gold Dust (Yeld 1905) — mid-May dark yellow
